Progressed from research intern to Adjunct Researcher in industry-funded bioengineering, working across biomaterial interfaces, peptide engineering, enzyme systems, metal interactions, research operations, and external technical communication.

  • Supported an approximately $5M Fortune 500 research partnership, translating technical progress and risk for external PIs, VPs, scientists, and patent counsel.
  • Delivered 50+ external research briefings to external executive leadership.
  • Coordinated 3–5 concurrent funded projects and governed approximately $1.26M in research equipment; directed onboarding and technical development of 15+ researchers.
  • First-author presenter at TMS 2024 on engineered peptide–iron interfaces, demonstrating peptide-mediated chelation and redox behavior across varying pH conditions.

Technical relevance: Research included engineered peptides interacting with Fe(III)/Fe(II), characterization of metal chelation and redox behavior, and peptide-mediated Fenton chemistry outside traditional operating conditions.

Translation relevance: Work routinely sat between experimental evidence, external industry priorities, technical risk, patent considerations, and potential applications.
