Instructional Experience — KU Engineering Summer Camps

Lecturer, University of Kansas Engineering Summer Camps (2023–2024). Introductory bioengineering for several hundred high-school students across two summers, with hands-on activities designed to make abstract concepts tangible.

Lecturing on proteins as molecular machines, KU Engineering Summer Camp
In the room. Delivering introductory bioengineering — proteins as molecular machines, sequence–structure–function.
Multiple Sequence Alignment puzzle activity
The tool I built. A Multiple Sequence Alignment activity I designed. The sequence was cut into strips and turned into a puzzle: students raced to reassemble it, with a prize for whoever got closest. Piecing it back together opened a hands-on conversation about engineering patterns and mutation.
